About Us

VNetSoftware is a U.S. owned company with offices in Worcester, Massachusetts and Ha Noi, Viet Nam. Our corporate headquarters and client base are based in the United States. VNetSoftware was established in 2001 by merging elemens of ElectroMagnetic Solutions and Pacifica Solutions. ElectroMagnetic Solutions was founded in 1990 by Dr. Arthur J. Butler and Mr. Eric L. DeClouet, who created the company in order to market their proprietary software for performing finite element analysis of electromagnetic fields. In 1995, ElectroMagnetic Solutions entered the industrial automation market and has serviced such clients as Frito-Lay, ABB, GeoWorks, Telcordia, and Walker Scientific. Pacifica Solutions was the first U.S. technology firm licensed to operate in Vietnam. Since the acquisition of the Vietnam operations in 2001, VNetSoftware has quintupled in size.

Today, VNet develops custom software applications for small and medium-sized businesses. Available products range from technical applications for operating scientific test equipment, to applications for hand held devices, to enterprise resource planning and operations software for small to medium sized companies.

Biographies of our Leadership Team

President
Dr. Arthur J. Butler
Dr. Butler is a distinguished graduate of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering. He was also visiting professor at WPI where he earned the Eta Kappa Nu award for "Oustanding Electrical Engineering Professor". In 1990 he formed ElectroMagnetic Solutions with Mr. DeClouet.  Dr. Butler has developed numerous applications for various operating systems including Windows, Unix, Linux, and embedded systems. He is an expert in the development of custom business applications written in object oriented, structured query, and Internet based languages.
